A moon of Saturn looks like Star Wars’ Death Star

Mimas is a moon of Saturn discovered in 1789. When seen from certain angles, this moon named after a son of Gaia in Greek mythology, resembles the Death Star, the famous space station from the Star Wars saga, which first appeared in Episode IV: A New Hope.

But the Death Star’s appearance wasn’t inspired by Mimas; it’s entirely coincidental because the movie was made nearly three years before the Saturn moon was resolved well enough to see its crater, the main feature that causes the resemblance.
