Bolivia, Iceland, and North Korea don’t have McDonald’s restaurants

You may think that every country in the world has a McDonald’s but there are at least seven countries (Algeria, Albania, Bolivia, Ghana, Iceland, North Korea, and Zimbabwe) with no McD restaurants.

The company left Iceland after the country’s financial crisis in 2009. However, they’ve currently got “development plans” to make a comeback.

The last McDonald’s burger made in Iceland is famously displayed at a hotel where, as they say on their website, it sits “in all its unchanging glory” after more than seven years!
