The Kakadu plum has 100 times more vitamin C than an orange

The kakadu is a fruit originating in Australia which, according to scientists at the University of Sydney’s Human Nutrition Unit, contains an exceptional amount of vitamin C.

The fruit can contain up to five grams of vitamin C per 100 grams of fruit, about 100 times more than an orange. The second fruit with more vitamin C is the camu-camu, with 3 grams per 100 grams of fruit, approximately 40 times more than oranges.
