In MGS 3, The End can capture Snake or die of old age if you don’t play for a week

The fight versus the villain The End in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is one of the best in gaming history.

But if you’re on your second playthrough, it’s always fun to see what other choices you have. In this case, there are two very particular situations, each with its own cutscene:

The most famous one is waiting a week until you play again (or changing your console’s internal clock) and finding that The End has, well, found its end, dying from old age, instantly winning the battle.

However, if you wait only a couple of days, Snake might fall asleep and be captured by the villain. He doesn’t kill you (he really wants to fight you) so you get sent back to the cell in Graniny Gorki, and you’ll have to run all the way back to Sokrovenno to finally face The End.
