The Spanish series La casa de papel (literally, The House of Paper), has become the most-watched non-English-speaking series in the history of the platform.
Netflix does not give specific data but affirms that it is its most viewed foreign series.
It narrates a master plan organized by a man who calls himself “The Professor”, whose team break into the Spanish Fábrica de Moneda y Timbre (Coin and Stamp Factory, thus the “house of paper” title) with Salvador Dalí masks.
Known as Money Heist in English-speaking countries, its episodes were distributed abroad with a duration of 45 minutes instead of 70; that’s why 15 episodes were aired in Spain and 22 in the rest of the world.
After its success, there are rumors of a third season and even a spinoff.
