Shakespeare smoke weed

Through sophisticated gas chromatography methods, a team of South African scientists performed forensic analysis on 400-year-old tobacco pipes dug up from Stratford-upon-Avon (where Shakespeare lived) including several from Shakespeare’s garden.

They examined 24 fragments of pipe and found that 8 of them contained traces of cannabis, 4 of which were from the Bard’s property.
